Case Study: T-Shirts Make the Team
Predicament
A company sponsoring a large charity marathon was looking for a way to make their team really stand out amongst the other participants. They wanted everyone to wear team t-shirts at the event, but were concerned about the varying style preferences of their employees. Ideally they wanted the shirt they chose to be worn often by recipients after the event in order to gain continued exposure for their brand.

Solution
After discussing the project with their promotional products distributor, the company decided that they would need to offer their employees a choice of shirts. They choose three different styles; a basic 100% cotton t-shirt, a 100% polyester performance t-shirt and a sleeveless tank. Each was available in both Men's and Ladies' styles, and even though they were all different brands, they were able to order them in the same color and keep a unifying look. Since the printing was the same on all shirts, they were also able to get additional volume discounts. The company had their logo printed on the front of the shirts and the back announced their proud sponsorship of the event.

Results
The company was thrilled with the results of this program. They had the highest amount of employee participation ever. Even though people were wearing different shirts, they were easily recognizable as members of the same team. The committee members heard over and over how excited people were to have an option for the shirts and many employees were spotted wearing them outside of work in the weeks and months following the event.
