Case Study: Coupons Build Loyalty and Increase Sales
Predicament
An auto dealership was looking for a way to increase repeat business for their service department. They wanted to do something to show their appreciation to current customers and also provide an incentive for them to come back when future maintenance is needed.


Solution
The dealership decided to utilize a custom imprinted Owners Manual Holder. Their name, logo, product lines and contact information were hot stamped on the front. Inside, the maintenance department put the receipts for all work performed and gave it to the customer when the services were paid for. The service department recommended customers put their manual holder in their glove box and use it to keep track of all maintenance records, because the workers would be checking the holder for any coupons on their next visit.


Results
The dealership has seen an enormous amount of goodwill generated by their service department. Customer loyalty has gone through the roof, resulting in a substantial increase of basic car care revenue since the beginning of the promotion. They have been able to track the amount of increased sales back to this program, due to customers utilizing the holders and the coupons. This has made the dealership confidant that extending the promotion is the right decision and will continue to bring in additional revenue.
